Toast the long weekend with a glass of something delicious and locally produced. Simpsons’ Wine Estate, based in Barham, just outside of Canterbury produces an exceptional range of still and sparkling English wines.
This month the 2024 vintage of the refreshing and delightful Gravel Castle Chardonnay has been released, showcasing beautifully crisp and fruit-driven characteristics.
This very popular Kentish Chardonnay displays a precise, chalky minerality, with a touch of salinity and notes of lemon peel and orchard fruit. It has a lively, refreshing palate, with zesty lime and delicate white melon flavours, and finishes with a finely structured, creamy mouthfeel.

This is why we settled for nothing less than the finest parcels of land in southern England to plant our vines for Simpsons’ first English sparkling wine.
