Shearing has started at Romney Marsh Wools

It’s a busy time on the farm at Romney Marsh Wools, as shearing of their 1,200 Romney and 150 Merino sheep has begun. Each sheep is sheared by hand, either by Paul or as part of a larger team of shearers, with the fleece collected, sorted and used to produce Romney Marsh Wools’ range of throws, clothing, accessories and toiletries, as well as being available as raw and topped fleece. It’s very much a family affair, with Kristina and the children helping check, sort & bundle up each fleece.

This year, specially selected whole fleeces are also available, each collected by hand, skirted and ready to use. Each fleece is individual, and there is a choice of cream, coloured and merino fleece.
