Shepherd Neame chief executive installed as master of the worshipful company of brewers

Jonathan Neame, Chief Executive of Faversham-based brewer and pub company Shepherd Neame, was officially installed as Master of the Worshipful Company of Brewers for 2022-23 at a ceremony on Thursday (July 14).

Jonathan Neame previously held the position of Upper Warden with the Worshipful Company of Brewers from 2020 to 2022. He was officially presented with his Master's Badge of Office during the event held at Brewers Hall in the City of London.

Also elected were the Upper Warden: James Staughton, President of St Austell Brewery; the Middle Warden: Katherine Smart, Technical Director of Diageo; and the Renter Warden: Fergus McMullen, Production & Sales Director of McMullen & Sons.

Jonathan Neame said: "The Brewers' Company has a long and important heritage in the Brewing industry and undertakes a huge amount of valuable charitable work, distributing around £1.6million annually, principally for the benefit of schools and education in general. I am extremely proud to have been elected to the role of Master and look forward to leading the organisation during the year ahead."
