Shepherd Neame donates laptops to village school

Shepherd Neame has donated refurbished laptop computers to Ospringe Primary School, located a short distance from its Faversham brewery.

With schools currently closed, the brewery was keen to support the ongoing national campaign to provide pupils in need with equipment to help them study at home.

After liaising with charity Business2Schools, which has been organising donations of this kind during the past few months, Shepherd Neame’s Service Support Analyst Richard Hazell presented seven laptops to Ospringe Primary’s Head Teacher Amanda Ralph on Monday (February 1). He is hoping to deliver another three next week.

Mrs Ralph said: “We are very grateful to Shepherd Neame for this kind donation of additional laptops to support our pupils with home learning and for their assistance in ensuring that these were fit for purpose.”

Shepherd Neame’s Finance and IT Director Mark Rider said: “We are committed to supporting the community we serve, so when we heard about the appeal for computers to help pupils in need, we wanted to get involved. Our team identified a number of computers due for disposal which they were able to refurbish, and we were delighted to present them to Ospringe Primary School this week. We hope to donate more during the next few months.”
