Shepherd Neame's Team Raises More Than £10,000 For Charity

Shepherd Neame's Team Extreme raised more than £10,000 for the company’s Charity of the Year Kent Wildlife Trust by taking on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge in Dorset earlier this month.

Team Extreme is a group of team members at the Faversham-based brewery and pub company including Chief Executive Jonathan Neame, who tackle tough endurance challenges for charity.

The full 100km route runs from Corfe Castle to Bridport with over 2,200 metres of climb. Six team members including Jonathan Neame completed the full route, with Commercial Estate Manager John Barnes finishing in 5th place with an impressive time of 12 hours and 24 minutes. Seven team members completed the 58km challenge, and another two completed the 42km challenge.

Jonathan Neame said: “The Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge was a very demanding but rewarding experience. On behalf of the team, I would like to thank all those who have given so generously and helped us raise a significant amount of money for our Charity of the Year.”
