Award-winning wines, inspiring art and sparkling events in the heart of Kent
Summer has arrived at Chartham Vineyard, and so has our beautiful Rosé 2023 – a fresh, elegant wine made from Pinot Noir, and proud winner of a Silver medal in the WineGB awards. It’s ideal served chilled on a warm afternoon, whether as an aperitif or paired with a light summer meal. Pop into the vineyard shop any Saturday between 10.30am and 5pm to try it for yourself – or order a bottle online to enjoy at home.
There’s plenty happening beyond the vines too. In August, our historic Great Barn welcomes the return of This Is My Theatre with their performance of Pride and Prejudice on Tuesday 12th August at 7pm. Enjoy a glass of our wine from 6pm and during the interval. Tickets are already selling fast, so early booking is advised. Meanwhile in the Vineyard Gallery, visitors can enjoy striking new work by Kathryn Rennie and Linda Smith, with a mix of free demos and hands-on workshops coming up – including how to draw the head (21 June), mark making (5 July), and Chinese brush flower painting (6 Sept).
Out among the vines, the growing season is in full swing. Tiny Pinot Noir flower buds are just beginning to appear and Andy is busy guiding the vines with new trellising wires. It’s a wonderful time to visit the vineyard – book a guided tour and tasting to learn more about how we grow and craft our award-winning wines, including a sneak peek at what’s coming next from our recent trip to Litmus Wines, where our winemaker Matthieu Elzinga is preparing the next sparkling vintage.
