Summer at Goody Ales

The next Firkins at Full Moon is on Friday 4th August with the fantastic Whitsend.

The bar opens at 4pm and Whitsend will perform a range of popular folk songs with the accordion and banjo! Whitsend always creates a fun and enjoyable evening! There will be at least five cask ales on tap, from the cask including Dead Good a fine, hoppy bitter. A variety of locally produced wines, juices, ciders etc will be available from the bar and chilli sauces etc to take away or to have on one of our delicious stone baked pizzas.

The next music event at the brewery will be on Saturday 5th August with the wonderfully talented Blake Sonnet who will be performing some ‘thoughtful, real, songs that say something and mean it’. Will be a great afternoon! We will be open from 10am and Blake will start around 2pm.

Some of you will have already met our new members of staff, Lilia, Izzy, Shah and Oscar. Welcome to both who have so far been doing a fine job pouring beers, preparing pizzas and labelling bottles a moungst many other tasks.

We are planning a new beer, this time low alcohol for those who are driving or do would like a less strong drink. It will be called Goody Two Shoes and should be available later on in the year.

Green energy update! Our green credentials are now: a large water tank that is heated by our 42 solar panels which also powers the new electric company car, brewery including chiller rooms. Excess electricity produced is being donated to the for free to the National Grid. Car charging is now available to customers at the best price in Kent. Our eco-friendly multi fuel boiler 'the Beast' is still heating the brewing water using wood from the sustainably managed copse. Paul continues to plant new trees around the fields to offset carbon or other unwanted emissions produced from the bar!

It is great to see so many people coming to the brewery to probably the biggest beer garden in Kent, as well as under our new covered area with our cask fire pit and inside the Cathedral Bar, enjoying delicious freshly brewed beer! We are very lucky to have such a spacious area.

Children are very welcome, there is plenty of space for them to enjoy themselves but we would like to remind you that you will be responsible for supervising at all times.

We do not take bookings but you are welcome to bring your own outside chairs and table. We do not permit any drinks or food to be brought onto the premises.

In the meantime, we are open for takeaway and deliveries. The brewery shop is open weekdays 4pm - 7pm and Saturdays 10am – 6pm.

If you are unable or don't want to leave the house, we offer free home delivery locally and delivery throughout Kent and the rest of the UK via our online shop, or by phone on 01227 361 555 so you can still enjoy a glass or two of Goody Ales from the comfort of your own home, without going out the door!
