It's #NoMowMay, that time of year when we are encouraged to free the wildflowers in our lawns so they can grow wild and provide a feast for pollinators, tackle pollution, and lock away atmospheric carbon below ground. And who doesn't need an excuse to not get the lawn-mower out for a few weeks?
Rather than working on the garden, why not put your feet up and relax with a Bee's Knees, made with Maidstone Distillery's light, floral Ranscombe Wild gin. Every purchase of Ranscombe Wild supports Plantlife, a local conservation charity, so by drinking a gin and not mowing the lawn, you're working twice as hard for our local environment!
To create a Bee's Knees, you’ll need:
1. Add 50ml Ranscombe Wild Gin, 10ml Honey, 25ml Lemon Juice and a generous handful of ice to a cocktail shaker, then shake vigourously.
2. Strain the mixture into your favourite martini glass.
3. Garnish with a twist of Fresh Lemon Peel to elevate the serve.

We are reinstating the tradition of Maidstone pioneer and Master Distiller, George Bishop, who created quality and world-renowned spirits from our county town back in 1785.
