The 30th Tenterden Folk Festival needs your support

All material sponsorship is, of course, publicly acknowledged in our programme, posters, social media and other publicity.

Tenterden Folk Festival is a registered charity formed in 1994 to preserve and advance public education and appreciation of traditional and contemporary folk music, song, dance and other related traditions, crafts and folk arts as a part of the living heritage. The Trust is supported by Tenterden Town Council, Ashford Borough Council, Kent County Council and an increasing number of local businesses and other organisations.

In additional to the annual festival the Trust runs a free monthly song and music session in Tenterden, Educational projects in local schools, occasional special events, publishes Around Kent Folk magazine in print and online and acts a local folk development organisation. Over the last 30 years we have promoted special events in conjunction with KCC, Ashford Borough Council, Produced in Kent, Kent County Show, Revelation Ashford, Folk at the Drum, and other local and regional organisations.

As you will appreciate organising and producing events of this type, in a professional way, involve substantial time and costs. As the Trust is a charity, and the Trustees and organising committee are all volunteers, we are constantly in need of financial and practical help and support. The Trustees and Committee include folk enthusiasts, Borough and Town Councillors and local business people.

How you can sponsor the 30th Tenterden Folk Festival

You can sponsor the Festival generally or you can sponsor a venue, an event such as a concert or barn dance, a guest artist or group. We can build individual packages to suit the sponsor rather than having a straight price.

• Sponsor a guest artist or folk group from say £300. Your business name will appear on our website, social media and in the printed programme.

• Sponsor an event, a concert, a barn dance or other event from £500. In addition to the above you can display your publicity material and a pop-up banner during the event.

• Sponsor all events in a venue such as The Tenterden Club, Town Hall or St Mildred’s Church, from £600. In addition to the above you can display your publicity and a banner in the venue throughout the Festival.

• Sponsor the free events on The Recreation Ground such as the music stage, dance stage or even the large crafts and stalls marquee from £1,000. In addition to the above you can display a banner in or on the outside of the marquees on The Recreation Ground from Thursday to Sunday inclusive.

• Sponsor the Festival generally. We would be happy to discuss a specific tailored sponsorship package with you.

• All sponsors will be listed in the programme and on the website, mentioned on social media, and any sponsor over £1,000 can have a free full colour, full page advert in the Festival programme. We can also retweet some of you Tweets.
