This spring The Corner House in Canterbury has upgraded its five guest rooms, offering the perfect place to stay just outside the centre of the historic city.
The refurbishment follows
the extension of chef owner’s Canterbury restaurant with a new dining space
which seats up to 26 guests and opens up onto the garden. The extension has
proven a success with the restaurant enjoying a sustained busy period since it
was opened in May 2022.
The five beautifully
designed bedrooms offer the perfect destination for friends, family and couples
looking for a cultured city break. Each of the rooms is painted in calming
colours that compliment the original features of the Inn, including artistic
touches inspired by the writers that four of the rooms were named after
(Becket, Chaucer, Dickens, Tourtel).
Matt stated, “Since we
opened the extension in Canterbury there has been a real sense of The Corner
House going from strength to strength. Having such a beautiful dining room has
really helped us to raise our game and the new bedrooms will offer a truly
special stay for guests wanting to explore the city, eat delicious seasonal
food and (weather permitting) enjoy some drinks in our sunny garden.
The rooms are inclusive
of a continental breakfast in bed which includes homemade granola, yoghurt and
berry compote, freshly baked croissants, homemade treacle toast, fresh fruit,
fresh milk and orange juice. Those who book directly via The Corner House
website will also receive a chilled bottle of complimentary Prosecco in the
room as a thank you for booking directly.
The Corner House guest
rooms are priced from £89 depending on availability and seasonality. To book
