The FoodTalk Show teams up with Produced in Kent
The FoodTalk Show is announcing a special collaboration with well-loved membership organisation Produced in Kent, which champions local produce and is the voice of food and drink in Kent.
When the show returns to the airwaves on the 25th of October, The FoodTalk Show will be hosted by its founder, award-winning entrepreneur, and broadcaster Sue Nelson, who will be joined by new co-host Jane Peyton, the UK’s first accredited Pommelier (cider sommelier). As it’s October, the first show will focus on Kentish cider with Jane and Julian Barnes of Biddenden Vineyards tasting a range of ciders from across the county.
The FoodTalk Show Founder, Sue Nelson comments, “A great first show to kick the series off, Julian Barnes, whose family own Biddenden Vineyards, will be talking to us about traditional pressed Kentish ciders made to a family recipe. He’ll be giving us tasting and food pairing tips along with Pommelier Jane Peyton who will also be telling us the history of cider.”
“We have 12 months of content planned out, featuring a wide variety of household names along with some unsung brands, covering a range of food and drink related topics.”
Over the next year, the show’s hosts Sue Nelson and Jane Peyton will explore some of the incredible food and drink producers, manufacturers, retailers, pubs and hospitality outlets from around the country but with a particular emphasis on Kent.
Produced in Kent Chief Executive, Floortje Hoette comments: “We are thrilled to collaborate with The FoodTalk Show, it is an incredible platform! One of the challenges for all small food and drinks businesses, particularly in Kent, is increasing brand awareness and reaching new audiences. Exposure on this scale offers such a great opportunity for our members.”
The shows will be broadcast weekly from Monday October 25th at 5pm on iTunes, Spotify, PlayerFM, Stitcher or on the podcast app on your phone by searching ‘The Food Talk Radio Show Podcasts’.
The production team is anticipating an increased listenership as people fall in love with food tasting and socialising once more. Previously, the weekly show was downloaded via iTunes, Spotify, Player FM and PodBean by over 65,000 listeners a week. It was also syndicated through radio stations nationwide.
All past episodes are also available on www.foodtalk.co.uk, where you can download any of the hundreds of previous podcasts.
