Two great reasons to come down to The Hengist Restaurant, a modern restaurant with fabulous gardens in the heart of the village.
The restaurant is named after the first Jutish King of Kent, Hengist gained his title after defeating Vortigen back in 455 in the battle of Aylesford.
Dine inside - with our a la carte menu, from Lobster, 2 ways grilled or Thermidor to Sticky Miso Glazed Pork Belly, Coconut and Ginger Rice, Charred Baby Corn, Bok Choy, Ponzu Sauce.
The garden - a more relaxed affair, we introduced our small plates menu last month and early afternoons have been a great success. Weekends we fire up the BBQ or Giant Paella Pan.
Drinks - Cocktails, pints of ice-cold beer, 70 strong gin selection, spirits from all around the world and a new 60 bin wine list, with some real gems on and all designed to marry well with our delicious food offering. Oh and did I mention the cocktails?
