Christmas 2020 was all about not being able to see family and friends. Plans changing at the last minute and even small family gatherings reduced to one or two people. Our customers were unfailingly positive even when disappointment was high. A solution was to send a gift box or hamper to people they were unable to see and The Weald Smokery provided this solution, sending out hundreds of parcels – from a piece of smoked salmon to our full Buckingham hampers. Many of our customers have said how much they loved receiving their parcel full of delicious goodies and newcomers introduced to the traditionally smoked delicious range of smoked foods have become returning customers in January.

Improvise, Adapt, Overcome – wise words that have been the mantra of so many businesses over the last year. Being able to see people face to face has been replaced by zoom meetings, google hangouts, teams, whatsapp and more. The Weald Smokery has provided a variety of ‘zoom dinners’ to help make these meetings – whether with friends or work colleagues – more fun.
