Chef De Partie | 4-day week including 4 weekend days off a month

With 2 kitchens and onsite butchery, we offer award-winning dining and host over 100 weddings a year, with onsite accommodation for 75+ (please note that this position is for our restaurant team - weddings are catered by our separate banqueting chef team.)

With out expansive Kitchen Garden, family-owned Farm, private Game Estate, and extensive local suppliers, we aim to champion homegrown Kentish produce.

We have a Demi CDP or CDP position available in our team - you should have solid experience in professional kitchens, Aa experience preferred but not essential.

You must have previous experience - this is not an entry level or newcomer role.

Commis Chef | 4-day week including 4 weekend days off a month

We are creating a new commis position in our team which would be perfect for someone in/recently out of college, or with some experience in kitchens who wants to push their skill set further. You will be part of a team of 8 chefs, and have lots of opportunity to learn varied skills in our 2AA restaurant kitchen & our banquet kitchen too, cropping from our huge kitchen gardens, and you will get to experience butchery skills in our onsite butchery. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the industry, who wants to take their skills to the next level in a friendly, supportive environment.

If you have a lot of experience we would also consider a Demi CDP role.

You must have some previous experience in either kitchens or catering college.

Working Conditions

We are a family run business, and we like to treat our team as family. We are an honest group of people, who work hard together and achieve great things year on year, we are a growing business so there is always something new we are doing or aiming for each year.

  • Minimum 5 days off from Christmas Eve every year
  • Full-time chefs work 4 days per week (48 Hours) – 3 days off with rotating weekend time off totalling 4 Saturdays/Sundays a month off (we can consider part-time opportunities also)
  • 1 service kitchen, 1 prep kitchen, 1 butchery (We butcher our own farmed meats & our own game on-site)
  • Extensive well-established kitchen gardens.

Kitchen Porter | Part Time | 3-5 shifts per week

We are looking for a part-time Kitchen Porter, to work between 3-5 shifts per week, depending on what you are looking for. There will be a mix of day and/or evening shifts with usual shifts being 6 hours long; 10am-4pm or 6pm-11pm Tuesday-Friday , 5pm-11pm on Saturdays etc.

The role includes washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. The Kitchen Porter is a vital role in our kitchen, you will be treated well! We pay an hourly rate plus tips, and can offer a permanent contract. We are seeking someone reliable, who is good at cleaning and cares about doing the job properly. The candidate must also be physically fit as the job requires standing for 5+ hours.

Bartenders & Table Runners | Part Time & Full Time

We are seeking Front of House team members for our busy and successful restaurant and wedding venue at The Ferry House. In our unique location alongside the Swale estuary, we hold over 100 weddings a year, boast luxury accommodation, deliver expert treatments and open seven days a week for dining in our award winning restaurant, showcasing dishes created with our food ethos always in mind; plot to plate, field to fork, grain to glass.

Job description and responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive outstanding service and have perfectly served drinks every time. You’ll keep the bar area spic and span and help make sure that the fridges are fully stocked. It’s fast-paced and fun, so if you love this type of working environment we look forward to receiving your application!

Working Hours

We have a variety of hours available on a part or full-time basis. Shift patterns are agreed in advance (rotas are usually available a minimum 6 weeks ahead). You’ll need to be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Shift availability – you’d need to be available at least 2 week days between the hours of 11 am and 00.30, and at least 1 weekend shift. Please advise your available days + times with your application.

Expectations

Prior experience or training is not required. We will train you on perfect serves, garnishing, and cocktail skills. You will need your own natural ability to talk to our fab customers!

Applicants must be 17 or over – we are also in a remote location with no access to public transport – so your own transport/driving license is strongly recommended.
