As we look to the future, and a growing number of sites and platforms, we are recruiting for a PR & Communications Officer to take responsibility for managing internal and external communications across all our channels. The postholder will deliver this with the support of our wider marketing team, always ensuring our communications are aligned with our brand standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for the delivery of all copywriting for social media, blogs & newsletters, ensuring the correct tone of voice is being used across each of our platforms and monitoring their success
2. To manage our social media footprint, responding to customer enquiries and engaging with our digital community on each of our platforms, as directed, in a timely manner
3. To be responsible for writing press releases for B2C and B2B publications
4. To support the production of marketing literature & POS materials, writing copy as required
5. To support the HR team in creating compelling content for recruitment campaigns & advertising
6. To develop & implement robust systems & processes to communicate effectively with our growing team of staff, handling all internal messaging on the relevant platforms and across separate sites
7. To produce compelling content that drives team engagement and brings key business initiatives to life, including dynamic video content, team newsletters, information posters and surveys
8. To ensure all external communication is strongly supported with an internal communications plan, so our team always ‘hear it from us first’
9. To support HR with the delivery & management of internal events, staff awards, long service rewards & acknowledgements
10. To take a positive lead in promoting Macknade’s ethos and values
11. To actively take part in Macknade’s performance management processes and to undertake appropriate training and development activities
12. To comply with, and implement as appropriate all relevant Macknade policies and procedures
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
1. Pro-active self-starter with creative flair
2. Outstanding proof-reading skills and attention to detail;
3. Effective organisational development skills with the ability to successfully challenge and bring about cultural change
4. Ability to create captivating content that engages audiences at every level, adapting tone of voice where necessary
5. An outstanding communicator, both written & verbal
6. Extensive experience working with marketing systems such as Wordpress, Campaign Monitor or similar and social media platforms
7. Detailed knowledge of the premium food & drink market
8. Educated to degree level or equivalent
9. Evidence of continued education and training
10. Knowledge of SEO and creating keyword-led content
11. Qualification in a Communications or Marketing related discipline
12. Past experience in a Communications, PR or Marketing role
Hours of work will vary with the job depending on where the emphasis of the role is on each day. Holiday is pro rata with a full-time rate of 28 days.
