VACANCY: Venue Manager & Caretaker

Bore Place is seeking a live-in couple to act as their Venue Manager and Caretaker and carry out light gardening duties at Bore Place, a 500-acre organic farm estate in West Kent providing a unique venue with sustainability at its heart. The estate is home to a charity delivering programmes for young people, public and private events and courses, as well a home for complementary rural businesses The purpose of these roles is to ensure the care of all clients and build a reputation as a premium venue as well as maintaining the general upkeep of Bore Place. You should be a friendly and welcoming couple who are well-organised and will embrace the Bore Place ethos and can demonstrate practical skills, a commitment to high standards and a can do attitude. You can jointly cover the remit or be assigned with individual and complementary responsibilities relevant to experience. Responsibilities will include managing the events and housekeeping team, acting as the lead host role for all groups staying at Bore Place, planning for the needs of all visiting groups to Bore Place, maintaining the general upkeep of the grounds, buildings and vehicles and co-ordinating and providing some of the 24/7 emergency on-call support service for guests. Bore Place is a people focussed organisation and is looking for real team players with strong communication skills who can direct and manage a team of 5 housekeepers as well as other contractors on site and who can demonstrate an inherent drive for customer service and exceptional satisfaction levels.
