Wooden Spoon launches seasonal range of British preserves

The Wooden Spoon is launching a new seasonal range of preserves celebrating the Best of British produce. Starting with Rhubarb & Elderflower jam, this ‘first edition’ will be available from 11^th March until May, thereafter the company will follow the seasons with Strawberry, Raspberry, Apricot, Victoria Plum and Damson. Company Director Jeff Higgins explains: “We cannot always source British fruit, but this new range ensures that we are able to focus on local and British produce from Spring to Autumn. We will make these one at a time, and when fruit runs out we’ll wait til the next one arrives”. Retailers will be offered at no cost a small display unit (using up-cycled wooden draws sourced locally) decorated to highlight the seasonal offer, with a recommended retail price for the preserves of £3.00. These will have a unique price and barcode so that retailers don’t need to list multiple SKUs.
