Blackthorn - Café, Charity Shop, Garden & Plant Nursery

Blackthorn Trust has a tranquil and friendly atmosphere and is the perfect spot for a nourishing lunch. The café is open weekdays 10am to 3pm with lunch served between 12pm and 1.45pm. To reserve a table please call 01622 725585.

In the summer you can sit out on the terrace and soak up the beauty of the garden and when it’s cold our cosy café is a great place to take off the winter chill.

Much of the food we serve has been grown in our garden, where our Garden Workshop Leader follows biodynamic principles which include emphasizing the use of manure and compost rather than artificially created fertilizers.

We run a weekly baking workshop which produces a range of traditional and seasonal breads from organic stone-ground flour. The bread is available to buy in the Café most Wednesday afternoons (you can call 01622 725585 to check bread availability).

Our charity shop and plant nursery are open to the public weekdays between 10am and 3pm. The shop is run by an amazing team of volunteers who work tirelessly to sort, display and sell generous donations from the public.

Blackthorn Trust is a charity-run Health and Community Hub where people can recover, grow and develop. We have been running for over 35 years, supporting people with physical and mental health conditions. We offer specialist therapies and workshop activities at our unique facilities which include a large biodynamic garden, craft, kitchen & woodwork studios and therapy rooms.
