Garage Coffee

Owner and Founder Luke started the business in 2015 having dentified a gap in the market to bring great coffee to the people of Kent. After rading at local markets and events, by 2016, Garage Coffee had gained a significant following and started to supply some wonderful hospitality businesses across the county.

In 2017, Garage Coffee opened it's flagship shop and training room in the heart of Canterbury and has now built a team making great coffee and sharing the same vision across our shops in Canterbury, Whitstable and Margate!

We roast in small 12kg batches for optimum quality, and only roast specialty grade coffees which are always fully traceable and fairly traded. Since launching, we have been building relationships with farmers, and sourcing coffee from the same farms season after season, with our most recent trip being to the Antioquia region of Colombia in January 2020.

And finally, why Garage Coffee? Our roastery is situated in a converted garage in the beautiful village of Hoath! Admittedly, our roaster did have humbler beginnings- firing up in a disused shipping container- but we have now transformed the garage into a roasting labyrinth, office and training room.
