Morghew Park Estate in Tenterden is the home of The Potato Shop.
In total, Morghew Park Estate spans two thousand acres with the majority being planted with arable crops, forty acres being dedicated to potatoes and two hundred acres of ancient woodland which are home to herds of deer, wild ducks and pheasants and in the spring become carpeted with wild garlic.
There are footpaths across the estate which take you through woodland, fields and across the Tenterden to Bodiam steam train line.
Like all farms diversification plays a key role in their business. They are no longer ‘just potatoes’, and they now produce their own cold pressed rapeseed oil, raw honey, stoneground flour, wild game and their latest venture Yukon Gold Potato Vodka. All of their products are grown or produced on the estate.
The Potato Shop honesty stall is open all year round for correct cash payments where you can purchase logs and potatoes. If you are wanting any of their other products, a member of staff is on site weekdays and weekends between 9am-3pm.
