It has always been our policy to work with as many local suppliers as we can and to celebrate the very best in Kentish produce.

In fact over over 40% of our monthly sales is either local produce or from our local suppliers. Many of whom supply us with award-winning ‘great taste’ products.

Showcasing local suppliers we host our annual event "Taste of Smarden" every June which is a hugely popular day out for families from Smarden and afar! In 2024 we were finalists in the Plunkett National Rural Awards in two categories..."Supporting Local Producers" and "Community Contribution".....a huge achievement for a store run by Volunteers!
