The Potato Shop

We grow over 20 different varieties of potato every year, from the traditional King Edward to the purple Vitelotte and unusually shaped Pink Fir Apple. We specialise in exotic and heritage potatoes which are full of flavour; potatoes that taste how they used to taste.

Our potatoes are sourced by chefs and foodies alike; those that appreciate their provenance, are keen to support British farmers and love good quality, local food. All of our potatoes are planted, harvested, and packed here at Morghew.

More than just potatoes, we now produce our own Vodka, made from one of our favourite varieties, Yukon Gold. We also produce our own cold pressed rapeseed oil, strong stoneground wholemeal flours and have honey from over 30 hives of working bees on the estate.

We welcome visitors and run a successful Honesty Stall on the Estate. We have a wide range of potato varieties available at all times (but if the one you'd like isn't on the shelf we can always pack them specially!). We also sell charcoal, kindling, logs and chopping blocks, all sustainably cut on our Estate as part of our landscape management plan. During office hours we can offer our more delicate products such as vodka, cold pressed rapeseed oil, wholemeal flour, honey, wild game and other seasonal products from our Estate. Between the hours of 9am-3pm Monday-Sunday we can take card payments. Outside of these hours envelopes are left by our front door for customers to place cash payment in and post through our letterbox.

We also offer a national mail order service through our website for those customers that can't come visit us in Tenterden. All of our potato varieties are available online as well as many of our other products. Please find the link below to browse our shop.

Deliveries are made in Kent and Sussex weekly using our own fleet of vans to farm shops, pubs, restaurants, schools and care homes. We also regularly supply the New Covent Garden Market.
