This half day summer pruning course will introduce you to pruning apple and plum trees and cover basic techniques and methods to start you pruning at home. The course mainly focuses on trained trees including espaliers, cordons and fans. The course is largely practical and outside allowing “hands on” practice and question time.

The half day covers the basics needed for a introduction to pruning your fruit trees. The half days run in a morning and afternoon session so you can chose a suitable time for you.

Summer pruning should take place from the end of July so this course date gives you the chance to learn some skills before its time to prune your own trees.
