Curd & Cure join Too Good to Go

As part of their continued mission to fight food waste, Curd & Cure have partnered with Too Good to Go, an app which allows consumers to connect with them to save surplus food.

One of the first wholesalers to join the scheme, Curd & Cure are offering daily “Magic Bags” containing a mix of products which are close to or at the end of their shelf life and so no longer able to be sold on to retailers. In order to claim a bag, which are offered at 1/3 of retail price, simply download the Too Good to Go app. To date, over 270 magic bags and 670kg of CO2e have been rescued from going to waste.

Although always working to reduce food waste and create a sustainable food system, Curd & Cure have been acutely aware of the challenges faced by wholesalers when it comes to food waste, especially over the past year and in response also recently announced the launch of the first product in their new The Rescue Range. A Stilton & Broccoli Soup is now available from outlets across the South East, which has been made using excess Stilton along with “wonky” potatoes from Provenance potatoes, and the whole broccoli head including stalks, in collaboration with Speedy Kitchen.

Curd & Cure is a Kent based wholesaler, supplying cheese, charcuterie and speciality foods to independent farm shops, delis & foodservice outlets. Look out for the soup on the shelves of your local food retailer and for more information on Too Good to Go, please download the app.
