Fresh Fields, Hearty Feasts – Autumn at Morghew Estate

With our arable harvest all finished and Autumn now in full swing, our farmers waste no time in getting the fields ready for the next crop. Once the combines are back in their shed, the spreaders come out distributing manure across fields, an essential part of farming as it puts valuable nutrients back into the soil. The drill then comes out and the farmers sow the next crops such as oil seed rape and wheat which will be harvested next summer.

As the colder (and most likely wetter) weather approaches we have just what you need for your hearty autumnal meals. Stop by the farm for our selection of wild game. We have venison striploin, steaks, sausages and more. All our wild game can be purchased Monday to Sunday 9am – 3pm.

We also have the perfect potatoes to go with your pot roasts, casseroles and stews. If you need some inspiration, you can find recipe ideas on our website and on each of our potato bags. If you have your own recipes, please send them to us! We love to know what amazing dishes our products become and if you’re happy for us to share them, we can add them to our collection.
