Choosing ingredients with a story
I spend a lot of time on ingredients. More than most people probably realise.
It isn't enough for me to know that something works on skin - I need to know where it came from, who harvested it, what impact its production has on the land and the people behind it. This isn't marketing. It's just the only way I know how to work.
The shea butter in Bodhi Butter comes from the Women of Rurah in Ghana - a cooperative empowering over 20,000 women to remain in their villages and earn sustainable incomes. The mango butter supports fair-harvesting schemes across India, uplifting millions of people across rural communities. The essential oils are grown and distilled on a farm in Norfolk. The calendula is infused into sunflower oil slowly and carefully, the way it deserves to be.
When you open a jar of Bodhi Butter, I want you to know that every single thing inside it has a story I can tell you. No hidden agendas. No greenwashing. Just ingredients that have been chosen with the same care I'd want for my own family.
And the formula itself? Kukui oil - trusted for centuries in Hawaiian healing traditions for its ability to calm and restore even the most sensitive skin - blended with shea butter and calendula-infused sunflower oil, with a whisper of lavender and Roman chamomile. Rich enough for rough, stressed skin. Light enough for daily use on the whole family from age three upwards.
Open the jar. Notice the exhale.
That's what I made it for.

What began as a search for gentle, natural solutions for my daughter’s sensitive skin grew into a small-batch skincare brand rooted in herbal wisdom, ancestral knowledge, and the healing magic of nature.
