Kentish Soap Company win National Award!

A KENT BASED FAMILY-RUN BUSINESS JUST WON A PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL AWARD FOR ITS ECO-FRIENDLY SOAP THE KENTISH SOAP COMPANY has won the 2019 Janey Loves Platinum Award for their Blissful Soap, scooping the top prize against some of the skin care industry’s most prestigious names. The Kentish Soap Company, a family-run business that makes eco-conscious soaps out of its workshop in Sittingbourne, Kent, has recently been making a big statement in a hugely contested industry, having recently been nominated for a Free From Skin Care Award, before taking home the top prize at the 2019 Janey Loves Platinum Awards held at Hello Love, Bloomsbury, London. It has also been named in UK Health Radio’s Health Triangle magazine as one of the UK’s innovative health and wellbeing products. “It’s a huge moment for us!” said Jayne Waddy, who began making soap from her kitchen using the traditional cold process method. “Long before we ever made our first soap, we’ve always cared about the environment, and we’ve continued to champion this ethos ever since. All our products are handmade, natural and vegan-friendly, with no artificial colours or fragrances and no palm oil whatsoever, and they are completely plastic-free. That’s why this award feels so special. It feels like a win for ethical skin care brands that care about the planet.” The Kentish Soap Company was founded in Kent by Jayne Waddy. They launched their first all-natural bar of soap in 2011 and have since added bath salts, soy candles, hand cream bars, body butter, truffles and more to their collection. They have also established a zero waste soap subscription service and have a shampoo bar set for release this autumn. 10% off the first order on our website (exc. subscription boxes and workshops).
