Macknade Food Village announces weekly live music & kids activities

WEEKLY LIVE MUSIC FRIDAYS & SUNDAYS

From July through to the end of August, visitors can enjoy live music every weekend, creating the perfect soundtrack for long summer afternoons and evenings. Best of all there is no need to book, just turn up and enjoy.

Friday Night Live

Every Friday from 6:30pm, the Food Village welcomes local artists for live performances, offering the ideal setting to unwind after work with great food, drinks and friends.

Sunday Sessions

Every Sunday from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, visitors can enjoy relaxed live music while tucking into lunch, sharing drinks and spending time with family.

Whether you're catching up with friends over craft beer, enjoying a family meal, or simply looking for a laid-back outdoor atmosphere, Macknade's summer music programme offers something for everyone.

KIDS PIZZA MAKING RETURNS

Families can also take advantage of Macknade's popular Kids' Pizza Workshops, running every Thursday from 30 July until 27th August 11:00am - 1:30pm.

Designed to keep little ones entertained during the holidays while creating their own delicious lunch, the sessions offer a fun, hands-on activity for kids. Young chefs can build their own pizza with a selection of toppings (sweet or savoury!) and enjoy a selection of lawn games in Macknade's field, making it a great value family day out during the school holidays.

SOMETHING FOR EVERY TASTE

One of the Food Village's biggest draws is its diverse line-up of independent food and drink traders, ensuring there's something for everyone (even the fussiest!)

Visitors can tuck into stacked burgers and loaded fries from Notorious BRG, enjoy Japanese street food from Little Katsu Kitchen, savour hand-stretched, wood-fired pizzas from SIG Pizza, or indulge in the ultimate comfort food from Mac & Stacks, specialists in all things cheesy.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Food Village is home to two local favourites. Bears Ice Cream Scooptopia, from the creators of the award-winning Whitstable ice cream destination, serves up some of Kent's most imaginative frozen treats, while Margate born Bombo Doughnuts brings its cult-following artisan doughnuts, packed with creative fillings and flavours that have built a devoted fanbase across Kent and beyond.

The Hop Shed Bar & Eatery makes a unique drinks venue, offering a carefully curated selection of locally produced beers and ciders, alongside wines, soft drinks and hot beverages, making it easy for visitors to settle in and while away a sunny afternoon or summer evening.
