Our latest NETWORK AND… event brought members to the brilliant The Foundry Brewpub in Canterbury, where we gathered to explore the unusual meeting point of beer, mushrooms and whisky.
Founder Jon Mills shared the fascinating journey behind the business, giving us a glimpse into the inventive thinking that sits at the heart of The Foundry. From brewing beer and distilling spirits to growing mushrooms on site, Jon explained how the team constantly experiment with new ideas while keeping sustainability front of mind.
Members enjoyed guided tours through the brewery and distillery spaces, along with tastings of The Foundry’s beers, while learning more about the creative processes behind the scenes.
The networking that followed was buzzing, with collaboration ideas flying around the room after Jon’s inspiring talk. It’s exactly what these events are all about – bringing Kent’s food, drink and hospitality community together in places where conversations can quickly turn into new partnerships.
Huge thanks to Flo and the whole team at The Foundry for such a warm welcome and for hosting us so generously.
And thank you, as always, to Roger from Stepstone Imaging for capturing the evening on camera.
Next up: NETWORK AND… more brilliant Kent venues and producers coming soon. These events are for Produced in Kent Members and Industry Partners only – if you’re not yet part of the network, now’s a great time to join.
