New Season, New Potatoes

September is an important month in the The Potato Shop calendar, heralding the arrival of our harvest and therefore one of the most important (and busiest) times of the year. Harvest this year was an efficient affair with 500 crates of our exotic, heritage and conventional potatoes safely transported from field to store in a record breaking 9 days. We now have over 30 varieties safely tucked away, ready and waiting to be shared with our customers over the coming year (and we can all breathe a sigh of relief that we managed to finish before the weather took a turn).

All of our potatoes are now available to collect from our Honesty Stall in Tenterden, to order online for home delivery and to pick up from selected farm shops across Kent and East Sussex. Family favourites such as Desiree, King Edward and Nicola, traditional heritage varieties including Arran Victory, Golden Wonder and Red Duke of York and classics like Pink Fir Apple, Vitelotte and Yukon Gold were all successfully grown this year.
