Refresh yourself at The Food Shed

The Food Shed at Spadework has been receiving great reviews for its freshly cooked food for a long time now. The recent refurb, new décor and furniture has also gone down a storm with our burgeoning customer base. The coffee, however, from an old bean-to-cup machine, had until recently, fallen rather short of the mark. But not any more! We recently took delivery of a proper barista coffee machine and are working in conjunction with Kent coffee roasters, Herbert & Ward to provide rich, aromatic espressos, cappuccinos and lattes, that can compete with the best. We have been selling so much more coffee since the machine was installed and customer feedback has been excellent. There’s also plenty on offer if you’re not a coffee lover. Every summer we sell loads of our famous Elderflower and Rhubarb Spritzers, made with Spadework’s delicious home-made cordials. This year we have added zingy home-made lime cordial spritzers to the list. All three cordials are available to buy in our farm shop. They make a deliciously refreshing soft drink when mixed with still or sparkling water and lots of ice, but some might say they’re even better splashed into gin and tonic, or even sparkling wine. Both the Food Shed and Farm Shop also sell a great range of local craft beers, ciders and locally produced wine, and the shop also has an amazing selection of local spirits, including gin, vodka, apple brandy and rum.
