Special Events Series to Celebrate Simpsons’ 10th Harvest Anniversary

Kent is well-known for its bounty of homegrown and seasonal produce and the Estate is proud to work together with restaurants that are dedicated to showcasing what the county has to offer, perfectly paired with locally crafted wines. This summer Simpsons’ will partner with Boys Hall, THE PIG at Bridge Place and Hide and Fox for three exceptional feasting extravaganzas.

The first event will take place during English Wine Week, on Sunday 28 June, with a ‘Long, Lazy Lunch in the Vineyard with Boys Hall’. Co-Owner, Bradley Lomas, and his team of chefs will be curating a three-course meal nestled in the beautiful Roman Road Vineyard with the theatre of an open-fire kitchen.

The second event will marry exceptional cuisine, wine-craftsmanship and culture, with ‘Tasting Notes - A Night of Opera and Feasting’ held in the heart of the winery on the evening of Saturday 11 July. The international opera bass, Matthew Rose, accompanied by four singers who have participated in his world leading Tosti International Singing Academy, which is based in Folkestone, will perform songs and arias inspired by food and wine. Whilst the team from The PIG Hotel at Bridge Place will be creating a three- course feast for guests to enjoy alongside paired still and sparkling wines from Simpsons’.

The grand finale will be the annual ‘Wine Dinner with the Hide and Fox’, taking place on Sunday 13 September. This will be the fifth year the two-Michelin Star restaurant will return to the Estate to present five exquisite dishes, each to be enjoyed with a paired wine from Simpsons’ Wine Estate.
