Woolton Farm Wines Launch

Woolton Farm Wines (Bekesbourne. Canterbury, Kent) were pleased to host an array of guests at our official launch yesterday evening (Thursday September 9th).

We invited special guests to take a tour of our beautiful vineyard in the Kent countryside, followed by a panel discussion and wine tasting set in the fruit garden of The Barn at Woolton Farm.

The Mount family have been growing fruit at Woolton farm for over 100 years. Our fruit all comes from a single vineyard at Woolton Farm; planted in 2011, at first we made just enough for the family to drink, and then for our own weddings. The wine proved so popular that we continued to experiment and are happy to be officially launching this year. Our wines have PDO status from Wine GB and we produce stunning still and sparkling white and rose wines, including our Bacchus, Pet Nat Chardonnay and Sparkling Bacchus Charmat. We are proud that, despite only releasing in 2021, our wines have already won awards, including a highly coveted Gold Medal at the International Wine Challenge and Gold award from Wine GB. We are very proud to be part of a new era of English wine. Our wines are small batch and experimental; we are a nimble and small grower driven by a passion for incredible produce and great tasting wines.

The Barn at Woolton Farm played host to our guests; Woolton Farm is known already as the home of Kentish Pip and we are pleased to have such a beautiful building on site. The 14th Century Thatched Barn is open throughout the week for guests to visit, and includes a shop, deli, cafe and bar for visitors who can head down to sample our wine tasting flights (also available online to gift!)
