Kent Food Hubs CIC

Kent Food Hubs CIC (Community Interest Company), was set up in January 2020 to provide a platform and a community co-operative for sustainable, ethical and environmentally friendly Traders and Producers within the Kent area.

We are very proud of the way our Hubs are supporting small, independent enterprises.

At Kent Food Hubs CIC, we're on a mission to make buying local more accessible for our communities. Our commitment to providing fresh, locally sourced food is at the heart of everything we do. With our main food hub based in Folkestone and plans to expand to other towns soon, we're excited to bring the best of Kent's produce to even more people.

Our online shop is a one-stop destination for locally grown fruit and vegetables, as well as a wide variety of other fantastic products from local producers. By shopping with us, you're not only supporting local farmers and artisans but also enjoying the freshest and highest quality goods available. From freshly baked bread and dairy products to homemade jams and chutneys, our range is as diverse as it is delicious.

For those looking to make their shopping more sustainable, we offer a great selection of dried goods such as rice, pasta, and lentils through our partnership with Restock. This allows you to reduce single-use plastic and contribute to a more eco-friendly way of living. Our dry goods are available in bulk, ensuring you can stock up on essentials while minimising your environmental impact.

Our electric van picks up the freshest produce from local farms and is used for home deliveries, reducing our carbon footprint on the planet.

In addition to our online presence, Kent Food Hubs CIC is proud to host physical markets in Whitstable, Herne Bay, and Dymchurch. These markets are vibrant community events where you can come along, buy local produce, and meet the hardworking producers behind the products. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with your community, learn more about where your food comes from, and enjoy a day out with family and friends.

We believe in the power of local food to bring communities together. By making local food more accessible, we're helping to create a sustainable food system that benefits everyone. Whether you're shopping online or visiting one of our markets, you're playing a crucial role in supporting local agriculture and promoting a healthier, more resilient community.

Join us at Kent Food Hubs CIC and be part of a movement that values quality, sustainability, and community. Together, we can make a difference—one delicious bite at a time.
