Spadework charity café, garden centre and farm shop nr West Malling. Open 7 days a week with a wonderful range of locally sourced food, drink and gifts. Our café serves hot and cold food and drinks and our garden centre offers all you need for your garden.
Spadework has been supporting people across Kent for over 40 years. At our site in Offham, near West Malling, we provide care, support and meaningful opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and other disabilities, people experiencing mental health challenges, and those living with dementia.
Our new shop is a wonderful place to visit, offering a wide range of gifts, greeting cards and fresh produce, much of it sourced locally in Kent! We stock Bray’s Bees honey, Charrington’s cider and wine from several of Kent’s leading vineyards. The shop is also a great place to find the perfect gift or a treat for yourself.
The Food Shed Café serves a full menu of hot and cold drinks and food. We are also licensed to sell alcohol and stock a range of wines and ciders alongside our own fresh apple juice. If you’re hungry, we are famous for our All-Day Breakfast, as well as a daily specials board. We’re open seven days a week and have plenty of indoor and outdoor (heated!) seating.
In our garden centre, you’ll find everything you need to bring your house and garden to life! We have a wide range of houseplants, shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals, all kept fresh and in season throughout the year. Sign up to our Friends of Spadework scheme and you’ll qualify for unique offers.
Whatever you do when you visit, you’ll receive a warm welcome and know that your custom supports our amazing charity — helping us make a lasting impact and enabling people to be more independent, feel less isolated and live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
