Autumn has arrived at Castle Farm, and our pumpkin patch is bursting with colour! Every year, we grow and harvest hundreds of pumpkins and squashes, from huge traditional Jack O’Lanterns ready for Halloween carving to little Sweet Lightening pumpkins, perfect for autumn tables and seasonal displays.

Our pumpkins are harvested by hand and brought into the Farm Shop, where you can browse the wonderful selection and choose your favourites. Whether you’re looking for the perfect pumpkin to carve, decorate with or cook with, there’s plenty to choose from.

Our green hop beer Sword’s Point comes to The Foundry this October, brewed with freshly harvested Kent hops at our brewery within Canterbury’s city walls. Created in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University, Sword’s Point captures something you can only really experience at this time of year – the character of hops used fresh from the harvest rather than dried. It’s one of those beers that connects what’s in your glass directly to the Kent countryside and its brewing heritage. Look out for Sword’s Point on the bar at The Foundry this October, with bottles following shortly afterwards.

Filled with spiced pumpkin diplomat cream and topped with salted pecan brittle, this croissant muffin hybrid is made using Docker’s signature croissant dough, and is a bestseller for the artisan bakery that first opened in a small shipping container at Folkestone Harbour in 2016.

As the evenings draw in, Morghew Park Estate's managed Kentish woodland comes into its own. Around 200 acres of predominantly broadleaved trees - much of it restored and coppiced over recent decades - yields a sustainable supply of firewood and kindling for woodburners, open fires and outdoor fire pits. Chestnut logs, general firewood and bags of kindling are all available, either delivered or collected from the honesty stall off Smallhythe Road in Tenterden, seven days a week.
