The Autumn displays are looking amazing at Castle Farm… we have grown a huge selection of pumpkins this year! Visit the farm to experience the colours, explore the different varieties and even have a go at guessing the weight of our biggest giant pumpkin! Grab a hot drink from our Coffee Cart and challenge the kids to a game of ‘Noughts and crosses, pumpkins and squashes’!

Mad-cap Rod Hull and Emu moved back to the UK from Australia in 1971. Rod had been born on the Isle of Sheppey in 1935. He’d married Sandra, also from this area, in 1958 and they’d had two daughters together.

In 1971 the marriage ended, and he had a romance with Cher - who was also married at the time. Rod and Cher … and Emu … set up home in Milstead Manor, Sittingbourne and lived there until 1986. They went on to marry and have three children. Rod was now a millionaire - he’d been booked by Princess Diana to perform at Prince William’s fourth birthday party - times were good. The couple moved to Rochester and bought Restoration House - a move which ended in bankruptcy.

He eventually lived in the Winchelsea area. On March 17th 1999, Rod’s life ended when he’d climbed on to his roof to adjust his TV arial and sadly fell. He was aged sixty-three.
