We’re delighted to share that you can now visit us at Kingcott Dairy in Staplehurst and buy our raw milk and award-winning blue cheese directly from the farm, whenever it suits you (Tuesday to Sunday). With our on-farm Milk Box and Kent’s only cheese vending machine, it’s never been easier to enjoy the freshest produce straight from our herd and dairy.
Looking for Fresh Raw Milk Straight from the Farm?
Our raw milk is now available daily from our on-farm vending machine – what we fondly call our Milk Box. The milk comes straight from our lovely herd of grass-fed cows, who graze our clover-rich pastures for much of the year. It travels just metres from the parlour to be cooled and ready for you to collect.
For us, it’s all about freshness and transparency. When you fill your bottle at the Milk Box, you know exactly where it has come from – our fields, our cows, our farm. It’s milk as nature intended, produced with care, high welfare standards and a deep respect for the land we farm.
Did You Know We Have Kent’s Only Cheese Vending Machine?
Right alongside our Milk Box, you’ll now find something rather special – the only cheese vending machine in the county. Stocked with our handmade Kentish Blue and Kingcott Blue, it means you can pick up a wedge of our farmhouse cheese at a time that suits you.
Both cheeses are made here on the farm using the freshest milk possible from our own herd. Kentish Blue, our first cheese, has a full flavour and moist yet firm texture. Kingcott Blue, created in 2019, is creamier and semi-soft with mellow notes. Every stage of the cheesemaking is carried out by hand, just metres from where the milk is produced.
Why Buy Direct from the Farm?
As dairy farmers and cheesemakers, we’re proud to carry out the whole process – from soil to finished product. Our cows are at the heart of everything we do. Relaxed, contented girls produce rich, creamy milk, and that quality shines through in our cheese.
Buying from our vending machines connects you directly to that full circle of farming. You’re supporting regenerative, responsible agriculture, low-energy cheesemaking and a small Kent business that believes in working with nature.
What Makes Kingcott Dairy Different?
Sustainability isn’t a buzz word for us – it’s simply how we farm. Our cows are grass-fed and free-range, our fields are managed to build healthy soils, and our cheesemaking is naturally low-energy, using raw milk that flows straight into the dairy.
We sell most of our cheese within 50 miles of the farm and source our own supplies locally too. Keeping things close to home reduces food miles and strengthens the local economy we’re proud to be part of.
When Can You Visit?
The beauty of our vending machines is flexibility. Whether you’re planning a cheeseboard for the weekend, topping up on fresh milk, or passing through Staplehurst, you can pop in and buy directly from us with ease. The vending machines are open Tuesday to Sundays, 8am to 7pm. CLOSED MONDAYS.
“We’re incredibly excited to be able to offer both our raw milk and our blue cheeses through our new vending machines. It’s a lovely way for people to visit the farm, see where their food comes from and enjoy our produce at their convenience. Being able to share what we make, right here where it all begins, means a great deal to us.”
says Karen.
