Romney Marsh Wools feature in Forbes

With a need to stay warm & cosy as we venture out to restaurants & bars providing outdoor seating areas over the winter months, Romney Marsh Wools’ throws have been featured by Forbes as a ‘winter essential’. Sarah Turner writes “The desolately beautiful Romney Marsh on the English coast in Kent is the birthplace of modern wool production. Romney sheep - with a long and fine staple - has been exported around the world, particularly New Zealand. Romney Marsh Wools started manufacturing throws and blankets from its flock in 2008. Using a Welsh weaver, the results use only natural colours; the snuggler size (150cmx100cm) are the most practical and use a herringbone design; from 100 kilos twelve years ago to between one and two tonnes today.” Romney Marsh Wools produce a full range of products using the wool from their own flock of Romney sheep, including throws, clothing, hats, accessories and toiletries as well as yarn, knit kits and raw fleece. The full range, including throws and snuggle blankets are available to order for nationwide delivery via their website at www.romneymarshwools.co.uk The full article may be read at https://www.forbes.com/sites/sarahturner/2020/09/30/toddies-and-throws-to-add-style-to-a-covid-19-winter/#2fe90dc87671
