Help guide a 100-year-old charitable society into its second century!

Are you an experienced finance professional who wants to give something back to your community and play a part in shaping the future of one of the region’s most respected charitable institutions? The Kent County Agricultural Society together with its trading arm, the KEC (Kent Event Centre) — is seeking a volunteer Honorary Finance Director to join its Board of Directors. This is a key governance role that supports the Society’s charitable and trading activities, ensuring sound financial management and strategic oversight.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring a professional background in finance, accounting, or business management, with the ability to provide strategic insight and practical guidance on budgets, reporting, and compliance.
Experience in charity or nonprofit financial management would be an advantage, but a genuine commitment to the Society’s mission is most important.

Your key contributions

• Support the Chairman, General Manager, and Financial Controller in maintaining strong financial governance.

• Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and audit processes

• Provide input into long-term financial and strategic planning

• Contribute to the continued success of both the Society and the KEC trading arm
