Welcome to a Year at Brabourne

A vineyard rooted in history, family and community.

Nestled in the Kent Downs, Brabourne Vineyard is a small, family-run vineyard with a big heart. Each month this year, we’ll be sharing a little of what makes our vineyard so special – from the wildlife and wine to the local community and landscape we love.

Founded by Paul and Hester Fenwick, the vineyard began as a dream to put down roots after years spent abroad. “We fell in love with the land, the village of East Brabourne – and maybe the local pub too,” says Hester. “What started with chickens quickly became a vineyard, and a whole new adventure.”

From hand-tending the vines with their children, to nurturing wildlife habitats and welcoming visitors to their Nissen Hut tasting room, the Fenwicks have created more than just a vineyard – they’ve built a home that’s open to all.

This year, we’ll take you behind the scenes, share seasonal highlights, and spotlight the people, wines and stories that shape Brabourne Vineyard.

Whether you’re local to Ashford, exploring the Kent countryside, or looking to discover new English wines, we’d love to share our world with you.

The joy of a small vineyard is that much of the work can be done by hand, by the family.
