Woolton Farm gave a warm welcome to Produced in Kent businesses and Industry Partners at our latest member event.
We had blue skies and sunshine, which perfectly showed off the stunning thatched building, constructed from Oak and Elm beams whose history dates back to the 14th century. The building is set in a huge fruit garden with an outdoor kitchen, camping, furnished bell tents, craft drinks shop and bar.
We love getting people together, renewing and making connections and seeing what happens. All our members and partners share a passion for what they do, making for lively conversations. Its also a chance to ask advice, share information and meet the PinK team.
It was a chance to share our commitment to focussing on our members. We are here to support their growth and development and continue to make sure the Buy Local message stays high on everyone's to do list. Buying from local business supports local employment, community and economy, so #KeepitKent whenever you can.
A big thank you to Sam Mount for sharing the Woolton Farm story. The farm is steeped in family history and fruit growing heritage, with the Mount family having worked the land for over 100 years. From growing hops and apples, the family have diversified into producing award-winning wines and ciders (Kentish Pip) and also now provides space for camping, glamping and a whole host of events.
A big thank you to George and the team at the barn for such a friendly and inviting event and of course for the scrumptious pizza and some fabulous Woolton wine, and of course to The Boathouse Fisheries for providing a stunning Seafood Platter for us all to try.
Thank you to Roger at Stepstone Imaging for capturing some great images for us.
