Over 25 years ago, Quex Park Estate stepped away from vegetable farming following a collapse in the cauliflower market and shifts in how fresh produce was sourced. Yet, our roots lie deep in vegetable growing, across acres of our fertile Grade 1 farmland. Now we are bringing back vegetable production to the estate, back to the island where they grow best. From beetroot to flat-leaf parsley, you’ll see a wide variety of crops grown with care.
The estate will maintain its nature friendly ethos and enrol this thinking into our production. Vegetables will be grown without the use of insecticides and fungicides, utilise cover crops and compost to improve soil health, use no single-use plastic for packaging, and support young people in entering careers in agriculture and horticulture.
Our produce will be available through outlets across the estate and selected local businesses. We’re excited to share this journey with you. Watch this space for updates from the field.
